The floor has dropped approx 10/15mm in one of the upstairs bedrooms of my house.
While Id love to just renew all the skirtings, Ive had problems with all the lath and plaster walls that its just asking for trouble attempting to remove them and getting a good fixing for the new ones.
Would I be a cowboy DIYer to just use caulk!! Admittedly I’ll need probably 4 tubes for the room! I think lengths of trim would look tacky as the room will be carpeted….
Caulk or tricky attempt and fitting in strips of wood flush with the existing… (baring in mind carpet and underlay will hide either option)
