Why you need Fixed Wire Testing at your premises
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (HSW Act) in Great Britain, employers are responsible for ensuring the safety and health of their employees and also the public, if they are at risk from those work activities. This includes electrical safety.
Like all electrical components, the conduits and cabling can all be damaged or suffer from wear and tear during their every day operation. It could just be a case of electrical sockets becoming loose and then the wiring behind them becomes compacted as the switch moves upon it. Handyman Plus can arrange for checks to ensure that your circuits comply with the current legislation.
Your Fixed Wire Report is a legal document designed to report upon the condition of your electrical installation. If there should be an accident, this document will be required by the authorities investigating the incident. So it is vital that it is completed properly and your BS 7671 Report will be issued to comply with the IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition.
Please note that Handyman jobs will be priced separately from Fixed Wiring Testing.
