Quick question… I am getting into woodwork as a hobby and my first big project I am starting this weekend is building a PC desk..
My question is what type of wood is best to use fro this construction? Only places i have local are wickes or BQ.. I have used wickes white softwood recently on another project but it seemed very soft and split quite easily…
other than that I have in the past used stud work wood for shelf battens etc which work really well but stain as nice.. plus they dont always come cut the sizes i need.
Frame wise I want to use 44×44 for the legs and 36×70 for the lengths running between the legs and cross supports for the table top.
